Nvidia has recently introduced a new member to their 40 series of desktop GPUs, the RTX 4070. Based on the Ada Lovelace architecture and manufactured using the 4nm process of TSMC, this GPU supports DLSS 3 and boasts similar features as the RTX 4070 Ti, which was launched earlier this year. The RTX 4070 is priced at Rs 62,999 and is available in India through select retailers like Asus, GigaByte, MSI, and Zotac.
The RTX 4070 is powered by a trimmed-down AD104 GPU and has 5888 CUDA cores, a boost frequency of up to 2475MHz, and 12GB of GDDR6X memory with a 192-bit bus, 21Gbps speed, and 504GBps bandwidth.
The GPU also features third-gen RT cores and fourth-gen Tensor cores, which enable rendering and frame generation, as well as support for the RTX Video Super Resolution feature, enhancing the quality of 1080P videos on higher-resolution displays.
DLSS 3 technology enables the RTX 4070 to be 1.7 times faster than the RTX 3070. It has a total power of 200W and consumes 23% less power than its predecessors while gaming.
The GPU supports a 4K display at 240Hz and 8K at 60Hz with DSC and HDR support. Additionally, the GPU comes with Dual AV1 video encoders, allowing for up to 20% faster export speeds.
